Cute; I think we all feel something of this at times.
Your rhyming pattern is intriguing and never faulters-- kudos!
In the second stanza, the second to last line, the phrase 'and yet' seems redundant. Or simply not needed.

What exactly is this chemical imbalance?
Interesting idea of portrayal it.
It was a touch confusing and a little all-over-the-place, but it was cool.
Anyhow. Cheers.

Well-written. It describes that state of mind really well. I like the structure inspite of the theme of chaos: the occasional rhyme in every stanza, the parallel build of the first two stanzas. This makes it a well-crafted poem inspite of the fact that the form is meant to mirrir the content (ehich it still does, since the rhyme is only occasional and the parallelism unobtrusive). I especially like the ending, the "me" in the last line has really impact.

I love it. :-) Especially the last stanza.

Love it! You certainly seem scatterbrained when you wrote it :P especially with the - *gasp* - surely not a typo?? "everywehere" - third line down. :)

But the rhyming, the alliteration, the words, boggle me speechless. "neither here nor there but scattered everywhere" "jumping from subject to subject searching to find but one object" "flitting, fleeting and forgotten" They all struck a chord within me, and how could I help but relate? Wonderful, tentative ending.

This is a very good poem. I can definitely relate to the second stanza. I like your writing style too. It's a lot similar to mine in that it asks questions. =)

This is a very interesting piece. I can identify with the feeling of "distracted detachment" because there are times when I am completely that way. The last two stanzas made it sort of sad and uncertain. Excellent, as always.
