This is one of the many reasons that you’re on my favourite authors list (definitely wasn’t a mistake). I don’t write poetry myself (I have a few (unsuccessful) attempts on my computer that should never see the light of day), I have a deep appreciation for well-written, emotive poetry like yours, Alice. This poem specifically is so remarkably raw and sharp; every word carries the tone perfectly. It’s very evocative, though it's hard to think of the pain behind the words.

i love, love, love the opening line to this "Heartache tastes like regret (and second month anniversaries)" what an amazing way to start off a poem. i also love "and all.the.words I want to scream at you are c.r.a.m.m.e.d into my mouth" you captured the exact feeling with words. pure poetry.-aly
