wow... that was great. I haven't been on fictionpress for the longest time, and was incredibly disappointed to find out that jcjaquez had taken down all of her writing, and finding this is like experiencing a blast from the past. I really liked how even after death, Artem was still himself - prepared and continually making himself better informed of the situation, even if it means having to punch someone. ^^ If you happen to know how to contact jcjaquez, would you ask her if she has any plans to put her writing back up? Really good. It's amazing, but not the least bit surprising, that Firebird can inspire such creative endeavors.

Speaking of Firebird, does anybody know where I can read it again?

i love this story.. it's now my only connection to the 'firebird' series that i loved but never got to hear the end of.. i dont know why she stopped writing.. but i hope that one day it will be completed because i cant bear not seeing artem and marya together

OMG! i've been in love with the story firebird the minute i read the first chapter, and since JC Jaquez hasnt updated for a while for the sequel i havent been able to find anything that would make me happy..until now. thank you so much for writing this! i cannot believe how good it is, everything is perfect!! im so happy now! especially since artem decided to call marya. that means its a good ending right? yes! im kind of confused now, though. wasnt nikolai, max's son? and here it says he died sixty years before...i've just read the sixth chapter of saving nicholas (wonderful story, by the way!) and isn't max supposed to be dead already? and who's older, nikolai or artem? is artem an old man in this story or something? oh my, i have so many questions but i have to go now...but i'll see you in the next installments of saving nicholas!

Oh wow. I came upon you through JC Jaquez's recommendation and I'm so glad I did. This story was so touching. Did you get some of your inspiration from Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven? It kind of reminded me of that book when Nikolai goes, "This is, after all, where you felt the most alive."

Anyway, I'm in love with the Firebird series and I think you capture Artem's essence remarkably well, especially after remembering that he isn't even your character. This has been a wonderful short read and I can't wait to check out your other stories!

*cries* wahh! now I'm worried that the end of your story will be depressing.

whoa. SO good. now I really, really want to read your other story about Nikolai. I wish you would write a second chapter to this, one that shows when Artem and Marya meet again. I know that would kind of ruin the tension of the ending, though. ah, well. I can always hope, can't I?
