Blinking In Astonishment 2008-03-04 . chapter 1Heh...this is about eighteen months old, right? I wonder why you posted it...habit of posting? I usually keep such things in the back of a binder, myself. Speaking as one who has sincerely admired you: how familiar the sentiment, but please be happier, if you happen to be feeling this way again. (Also, your prose is rather better than your poetry--except that this one doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that's written to read well, but to be written, which is why I keep my own to myself.)
"They didn't care when I left...
Cared less when I returned
Yet no one will let me forget...
That I was gone
And I still am, aren't I?" was, I think, the best bit. Cutting from there to the ultracolloquial 'supremely sucks' was pretty effective, too. From a point to a flat. Which sounds like I'm confused about musical terminology, but you get it, yes?
This is TrisakAminawn from by the way, if you happen to remember me. |
