This is quite well-done - a little prosaic, as far as the general prose style of adolescent monologues is concerned, but still good. My only objection was that the girl seemed to be slightly younger than the age requirement specified at the beginning - she seems more suited for a twelve year-old or thirteen year-old instead. But seriously, I really did like it, that was great, the issue is really important and I hope all goes well for your character.

Very good monologue. I like it. It IS short, but you're right--any longer, and it wouldn't have sounded so authentic. No grammer mistakes I could see, and you placed everything together nicely. Good tone, too--the modern-day slightly sarcastic edge, but also realistic dialogue, which makes it seem like it was plucked straight from the mouth of a person.

In other words, very good. ;)

Damn you, I have tears in my eyes. I'm sniffing, I swear. I felt just like that a while ago & thankfully all my friends were really supportive. I wish the ending said how the friend reacted, although from a literary perspective of course it's better this way.. gah, this was great. All the beats and breaths and things made it just that much more realistic. It was excellent, I think I'll add it on my favourites.

What an AWESOME MONOLOGUE. This is the kind of things that you don't see people audition with every day and it's really nicely written. Two thumbs up!
