RawrEllieMayMightBeADinosaur 2009-06-21 . chapter 1Screw pain. THIS is perfection. I really liked the first line. It's almost metaphorical, like the white ribbons are her innocence, but they've been stained. This is simply magnificent, the way you used similes, metaphors. Lovely.
I usually don't like all the little parantheses, & bolding, & blahblahblah. But you make it work. I like it when you do it, it really brings the whole thing together. It makes you unique. That's why I like your poetry. That's why I liked this.

Live4Love 2006-09-04 . chapter 1i friggin love the way you write.
Wow i'm sorry about your boyfriend (so-so). my life is kind of messy also. see i was dating this girl. we started going out in march of 2003. we met on the internet. we lived 2500 miles apart. after 8 months we met. she lived with me until july of last year. she hated living with my family and left me. we tried long distance for a while but a lot of ** happened and we broke up. in july of this year i decided i couldn't live without her although we barely talked anymore. i sold everything i owned and took a greyhound cross country to get her back. it worked but now she treats me like ** and uses me.
and i still stay.
lol theres my vent for you.
o btw. i am about 5 ft 4 light brown hair streaked with blonde by the sun. I have green eyes but my left one is half brown. i've been told they are beautiful. |
sylvia's syndrome 2006-09-04 . chapter 1Like all of your work, this is raw and painful and amazingly well written. I particularly liked the bit that reads, “except when we exchange harsh remarks that I love because at least I have your attention(forthemoment).” I think many people – myself included - can relate to this feeling. Indifference and neglect are often far worse than outright dislike. If someone likes you or dislikes you, at least they have an opinion of you. But if they simply don’t care, you become utterly irrelevant. Keep up the amazing work!
(By the way, yesterday I put up a piece entitled “Death of Alice” which was inspired by you/written for you. I’d really love to hear what you think of it.) |
no thanks 2006-09-03 . chapter 1first off, the line "white ribbons on my wrists stained red" is amazing. just amazing. it has this picture of innocence turned into corruption. gorgeous. and the metaphor of your body as an unopened flower is incredible. you have serious talent. |
Panicking With Hesitation 2006-09-02 . chapter 1i really do love how you write. amazing. |
kaylajac 2006-09-02 . chapter 1this poem gives me the exhilarting sense of rushing forward, picking up more and more speed, and finally hitting the ending with a crash- and an excellent last line it was, too. very nice. my fave line-
'...(my eyes ripped out so I don’t have to look at you looking at me-disgust drawn on your face with permanent marker(I’ll never change your opinion now)' |
Alyssa's Attic 2006-09-01 . chapter 1*claps* lots of anger and emotions in here i like "Im just one big tragedy arent i darling?: It really adds a personal touch to this writing which makes it even better- Thanks for the review :) |
by His blood 2006-09-01 . chapter 1the title and summary are perfect.
this is just incredibly painful to read. it hurts too much. 'white ribbons on my wrists stained red' -- ** gorgeous imagery. '(i'm dying (all.for.you))' -- **, i can relate to that now more than ever. 'my heart pouring through my hands (my eyes ripped out so i don't have to look at you looking at me-disgust drawn on your face with permanent marker)' -- that was yesterday's heartbreak expressed so perfectly. ** painful, raw and beautiful as always. 'hurt me if you have to just HOLD ME' -- the anger, the desperation and hurt (that i feel so much) is just expressed perfectly, and that's what makes this poem (and all of your writing) so amazing. the format, all of this just holds nothing back, ** amazing. i love this.
