Reviews For: New Elementals
hirondelle89 2007-01-27 . chapter 5
I enjoyed reading your story. I couldn't stop, actually. If I may make a suggestion though, I would like to see your elemental people not all come from awful backgrounds. I feel like it's overdone. Like, the water elemental, I could see him being held like a messenger from the gods if he lived in a farming village. It could also improve dynamics I think, because then the kids could hone their skills with their master, then go out and help people instead of kind of just huddling together with an "us against the world" mentality.
Sorry, long suggestion. You don't have to use it.
Hitokiri Alchemist 2007-01-08 . chapter 1
This is intresting. New charecters are introduced, new plot, but same powers. The charecters are in a world were a majority of the population seems to hate them. It could be used for a battle of mages versus non-spell casters.

The reader can feel the pain all these children have to go through. The pain of not being loved, abused, forgotten, ignored, and generally hated. It gives the reader great pleasure to hear that there are kind souls in this world that try to reach out and help them.

Something that seemed off to me was the naming process. It seemed a little forced. I don't know why, it seemed off a little. The rest of the story seemed to flow together though. The way the story is introduced and presented makes the reader enjoy reading, and want to know more about what is going on in this world.

The ending was short and bitter. No uncessary words, quick and brutal. It was a perfect end to how the story lead up to at the end. It leaves off at such a cliffhanger that makes the reader want more.

Great story. Needs a sequel, or even a whole book! Great job!
