Lord-of-Fools 2006-10-03 . chapter 3
He seems to be ignoring the Spanish influences on the language... such as the words for grapes and tobacco (masukaato and tobako). Oh well. Lol I like japanese food! She should have okunomiyaki, though that's more common in Hiroshima.

I do have one problem with this otherwise excellent chapter, and that is that there is no mention of Shinto, which is one of the largest religions in Japan and its only truly native one.

I love your style and characterization, and I hope to be able to read more of this soon.

This is really good. Your writing is so descriptive, and I'm hoping that the romance part is going to happen between the samurai and the Dutch chick. That's the kind of thing I love to read. Anyways, update soon!

Wow, Japanese baths! I can't imagine a western female being comfortable in one of the osaten, but I guess that's not what you mean... more of a private household bath. Still... hot. I love Japanese clothes. If you ever need any advice on what colours suit seasons and age brackets, what obi-ties are appropriate, and any of that sort of thing, don't hesitate to ask the resident nerd. me!

Very interesting concept for a story, and you have dealt with it excellently so far. You are a skilled writer with abdundant talent in description - however I cannot help but feel as if your story would benefit from a bit more careful editing, as evinced by the choppiness of the first sentence. Either way, I enjoyed this story and I can't wait to read the rest of your work. Do you often write historical ficton?

Keep writing!

Oh, this is interesting! I went to Kagoshima last year, and the history of Kyuushuu, Kagoshima in particular, is so fascinating! Takamori Saigo is an awesome character. I'm so glad you've decided to write a story set at this time in Japan's history!
