I thought Daniel would have more of a response. The "talking" seemed to be a tad too short. It's like BAM! then it's over. But yeah, it's good for a transition into further development of the plot(s).

I liked this chapter! It really flowed very naturally somehow.

Even then it felt right for him to stand aside, not far from us, laughing.

Yeah, it feels natural and right for us when we read it too.

The first time Damien and Kiki ever quarrelled! So, this is the first chapter you introduced lyrics. They are not bad..quite fitting with the story. "A hundred profanities in at least three different languages began to run through my mind." That's insane. =S

Damien's flying off to NYC? He called out your full name at the end! (this girl over here is suddenly so particular over the small things)I can't imagine a blond bombshell for a love rival. His mum's evil.

Don't particulary care where the rest of the story goes, but if it was written this good so far; then I've no doubt in the authors capabilities to entertain.
As long as the readers don't slit each others throats or any of the character's either (so much reviewer violence)then you might still have a peanut gallery for chapter 2.

Seems like the guys you love are all allergic or have some fears regarding PEANUT BUTTER! It's very sad. Peanut butter is such a lovely thing.

I thought this part where he introduced his ex-wife into the conversation was pretty natural, and rather realistic. He seems a bit wistful haha, but honestly, it is a realistic scene.

Actually, I ws wondering if it should be show you how sorry he was hahaha. And I can't believe I haven't eaten lasagne before. I've got this friend who isn't interested in anyone at all, and hasn't ever been and doesn't think he will be-- he's just mostly indifferent to that sort of thing happening to him-- made such a pact with his now-lesbian very best friend. But it's all just for companionship. Actually, such a pact isn't very bad. It's easy to just get those quickie marriages with a cert in Las Vegas and tadah, you're in a way, "officially married", and it'll be just living together and doing stuff together.
