this kind of reminds me of the book My Sister's Keeper. i don't know if you've ever read it. oh well. anyway, i love the way this is written. it's beautiful.

This poem is very haunting. I love all the images you've sewn throughout the poem - hair as serpents, candy apple cheeks, baby girl fingerprints. They are disturbing and appropriate at the same time. I'm not quite sure exactly what to say about this poem. Keep writing! :)
