There is a general lack of emotion in the whole piece. Even though it's all about emotions, I don't feel any at all when reading it. It feels like it's just general fact, the tone. Almost impersonal. But I guess that was what you were going for.

The only mistake I found was: "His fist connected with my face, as in turn I connected with the floor." Don't use the same word twice...in the same sentence XD
