I just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed the imagery and emotiveness of this short story. I think it showed a lot about you the author, about your hopes and fears. I think it gave me an insight into a side of you that you don't show very often.

But what do I know, eh?

I do think you're a pretty talented author and it would mean a lot to me if you could read over a piece of mine and maybe leave a comment. If you love it or hate it or are indifferent to it, it would mean a bunch if you could just read over it.

I know this sort of thing is probably really annoying, but I read something that I felt a connection to in your story and was maybe hoping you'd do the same.
