Seems like it's kind of too old to comment on, but I will say ending with 'back' would have been a lot stronger. Rhythm counts, even in prose.

You excell in description :) Thank you for such a great piece to read where i was shown versues just being told how she felt. I hope you don't mind if i refernce your work, to work on this skill myself.

beautiful (but isn't that what i always say?) i could really relate to this one. i know it's supposed to be about a woman coping... still coping... with the death of her husband. but at the same time, it works for a woman coping some frustrations that i've been dealing with myself.

and i'd like to add, if this is a more personal story... if this is something that you deal with... i am always here to talk.
