Just wanted to let you know that I love both of stories and completely understand why. I actually agree with you and would do the same thing if I was in your shoes (even though I can't write save myself :P).
Just a suggestion but maybe look in to putting your stories up through that Live Jounral site (I thing thats what it's called) because thats what some of my other favourite authors have done on fictionpress due to the plagiarism.

unsurprisingly, authors are worried about publishing their work on FP now with the plagiarism problems. obviously, it saddens a lot of readers when they hear some of their favourite authors are no longer showcasing their talents for others to see.
i'm curious as to whether or not you've heard of a site called '. if not, i'll elaborate. it's a site from HarperCollins publishers and is basically a site for authors to showcase their work like FP. the difference? no plagiarism. how does that work? well on , highlighting, and right-clicking are not possible on this site. so unless someone would wish to copy someone else's by typing out every single word, the chances aren't likely.
but yeah, check out the site, maybe you'll change your mind and post your story up there. a few former FP authors are also on , like Amanda Abram, author of 'The Importance of Getting Revenge' and Tatiana Moore, author of 'A Starter Boyfriend'.

OMG, ok...umm... u write REALLY well, just so u know first. It sucks that you wnt be posting anymore of SR becuz it sounds super good. I understand 'bout the risk and all, but I was still wondering if you could perhaps reconsider? Or repost the old version. I think that if you really honestly believe that this is one of your best pieces, you should get it published. Just a suggestion.

OH MY GOD.
THAT WAS JUST INCREDIBLE.
This story is just amazing. As soon as i read the first chapter i got hooked in and couldn't stop.
The plot was executed very well and was definitely original.
The past that revolved around the 2 families had drawn me in and i was just dying to figure out what happened.
There were moments in the story that made me start to tear up upon the emotions that were created through the characters.
i just simply loved this story and commend you on your ability to write an amazing story :)
