LOVE the last line. also the imagery is gorgeous. i also loved how you broke up lines in the beginning "A trill on a flute, held under indefinite fermata? Or/is it" i love how it brings pause to the reader.

This is very flirtatious and cunning. I loved that last line. What I like best about this is that you kept the same tune throughout - you weren’t arguing or shifting - you were just displaying glimpses: “Like a Spanish ‘r’, smooth stacatto” and “The water rolled effortlessly off the crackling land.” all of these delightful images that make up the conscience mind. Very lovely. Sorry that it took so long for me to review this, school started last week and I’ve been swamped. Keep up the good work.
