But I can totally empathise with you. I worte a story once and it was my most read and more reviewed story but anter a while I just hated it and couldn't write anymore. However, it sounds to me like you just had bad writers block when you wrote this. Luckily it didn't effect your poetry.

Well done on the getting your poems published by the way. May I ask where? Isn't having something published just the best! Okay, so mine was only in a school annual and it's a bit embarrasing to look back on now but at the time I was on cloud nine for a week!

Ahh, yes, writers block. Many of the lines are what any writer can identify with, even if they don't write stories. I liked the "earthshattering heartpounding" at the beginning however in the rest of the poem you do not treat the reader to anything else of this type. Although perhaps that was planned to make it stand out more.

Wow... It's like we've known each other forever. I'm going through the same thing, the whole uber writer's block because things don't seem to fit- don't seem to be as earthshatteringly important as they were before...

Just knowing there are people with the same delema gives me the courage to continue. Thank you!

Interesting. Its easy to get bored with one story and start another, because before you're finished with one, ideas come for a new one. This is a great piece on writing, really.
