Sadism is when you find pleasure in seeing others in pain.
I think the term you mean is masochistic, finding pleasure in hurting yourself.

You have very good writing skills, very descriptive. However it would have been better to find another plot or perhaps twist the one you chose. Self mutilation is quite a broad subject.

This reeks of mallgoth. It seems very formulated; very cliche. You can write well, but the subject matter just seemed cliche.
