Soleil-Et-Lune 2008-04-22 . chapter 1This is poignant and beautiful. I really do love your writing style. Kudos =) |
burn our city 2006-12-10 . chapter 1Wow, you are quite a wordsmith! I really like the imagery, also. Wonderful work. |
elasticbobaturtle 2006-10-17 . chapter 1Wow, what beautiful word choice; chosen so masterfully. The last stanza is especially lovely. It has a kind of beauty tinged with something darker. Wonderful piece :) |
Mistress Vampyre 2006-10-11 . chapter 1this poem is, i believe, sad...yet it lights me from the inside with a feeling of something that happened for the better?
i'm not sure how to explain it...
maybe not for the better, but certainly something of love.
i very much enjoyed this;xoxox Rach |
Anaare 2006-10-10 . chapter 1A sad and yet warming poem, a maze of metaphors. Excellent work. What else is there left to say? |
La Gitane 2006-10-07 . chapter 1Ohh very nice! Kind of faded and spidery and still very warm - especially that last stanza, which is beautiful. I loved 'smelled like skeletons and love' as a description, though it's all very striking - and of course the whole poem felt vastly metaphorical...
Very well done. :) |
Halcyon Impulsion 2006-10-06 . chapter 1What a wonderful piece. My only crit is the first line of the last stanza... the rest of the poem has a very allusive yet stark/concrete feel to it, and this line seems a little out of place. Consider giving us more about how/where you came across the shirt. The last three lines are my favorite, closely followed by the last four in the first stanza and the whole fourth stanza and the whole second stanza. You're rubbing off on me :) I like this :) |
Moondog Dozier 2006-10-02 . chapter 1The whole work is well constructed, but the last stanza really has a powerful affect on the reader. Touches a nerve I guess, and that is a difficult thing to do. Sorrow-gloom and remembrance permeates from this. Excellent, excellent work. |
