I was surprised that some of the other reviews thought this was related to religion/spirituality. Was that intended or just the readers' interpretation? When I read, I visualized some kind of large, graceful bird...the comments surprised me.

The italics are an interesting touch...to me, it felt like a I was reading a thought or memory, more tenuous than a 'spoken' poem.
