The success of this poem is that it captures a single instant in time, a snapshot as it were, of two people. And then goes on to communicate their thoughts and emotions in pinpoint detail. The genius of the poem is that you do this with so few words, almost as instantaneously as the click of the camera.Not one word is superfluous. You are a lean, mean, writin' machine. |
