Wow. I'm speechless. I can't imagine how it would feel to be in that situation and I don't think I really want to. I assume the investigators won't arrest Anne thought I doubt they'd believe her. I probably wouldn't either if I was one of them. William and Todd are just cruel. I hope they get locked up and die in a cell or something. And Olivia grew on me. I wanted to smack her in the head at the beginning but as the story progressed, I felt pity. She's just a child who doesn't understand all of this. And I'm glad Anne is helping her.

I know that this won't really have a happy ending but I still couldn't help hoping and wishing that Armand will survive and everything will be okay. I peeked at some of the reviews (again) because I couldn't resist knowing what happens next. Somehow that made me even more depressed. I got that you had posted a commentary before? I hope you post that up again. I would love to your thoughts on this as the author. And because I'm sure you're an undeniably cool person. :) You have to be to come up with this.

Your characters are so real and alive that I seriously felt my heart bleed a little when each of them died. Even Edge. And the jester (however cruel and messed up he was). And the plot is unbelievable (in a good way), as in I can't figure out how you created this. It's simply amazing. You deserve to be published. Especially this. This is probably my favourite piece of yours. I would love to have this as a hardcover on my shelf.

One question I have is the time. If one minute is one hour for the dolls, does that mean every human day for the doll is like a year for them? (Too lazy to do the actual math). That must be incredibly painful.

Brooke is such a tragic character. I can seriously feel my heart breaking for him. But I know he was going to die anyways. At least he died (trying) to protect the woman he loved. I wish Armand wasn't so hard headed sometimes. I know I shouldn't have such high expectations for him but this mistake is costing Anne's life! And the suspense! You've got me hooked. :)

The style of this story is so ethereal and breath taking but the plot is just so depressing!

This is brilliant. I haven't been captured by a horror story so vividly for a long time. I can't even imagine how you can come up with all these stories. And I love the character development. You made Anne become so much more than the selfish nanny we saw before. And yet, she hadn't changed that much yet. Sure, there were little changes and she's been questioning but through your storytelling, we see that this has been her all along. Just a new perspective. Still selfish but not without reason.

On a side note, this does remind me a little of a horror story I once read when I was little. Dolls came alive and wrecked havoc. But your story is a completely new twist on it and very original. :) But judging by the reviews I've seen, I assume it's not a happy ending...too bad. I really want the two together. Even though I know it won't happen.

I, so far, am really enjoying this story. The way you take existing fiction and twist it into something more interesting and unique is really quite wonderful. However, I notice you have only 3 chapters up despite it saying the story is complete. I also noticed you said you took some of your stories down for fear of plagarism...
I am really interested to see how this story ends... is there anywhere I can read it in its entirety?

Wow, this story is fantastic. I recommended it to quite a few of my friends, as well. While I was reading, I felt both the feeling that I want to finish reading this story and it may never end and the feeling that I don't want it to end because it was so good. Yes, it took me a good six or seven days to read it, but I love it. Your story has a few typos, but then again, whose doesn't? My weakness is tenses, so I see how easy you could just overlook some errors. All in all, I love it. You did a great job.

I read this a few years ago and something reminded me of it a few days ago. So I had to come on here and find it again. I think if you haven't already, publish this! I love it. I would like to see a movie of it too.

This was an amazing story, very detailed and entertaining. I would suggest in the future when you are editing to take out some of the unimportant scenes and repetitious dialogue. Overall, I really enjoyed it!

I can't even explain to you how much I loved this. I..there are just no words. It was just as good as you implied it would be. Better even. At first, I had my doubts (the Nutcracker isn't a story I'm particularly interested in, nor one that I know well) but I'm glad I read this. The characters, the plot, the atmosphere was all created so vividly that I actually felt myself slipping into this world. Feeling the pain and joy of all the characters. Wow, you SHOULD be proud of this one. It certainly is something special. Happy New Year!
