I really liked this. I don't think I get it, but I still loved all the description, and the grim yet whimsical feel of the writing. It's like if a painter spun around and painted an entire room while dizzy, and came up with something incredibly new and interpretable. I thought the first person was cool in it, as some things like this are too removed to be so engaging. I'm reading Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man right now and this reminded me of it with the whole in depth detailing and the stream of conciousness feel. It's cool and that's really all I have to say at the mo.
