Your analogy was gorgeous, especially this part: "‘cause i’ve always been/leather-bound". This is one of my favourite poems right now.

It was a little jumpy and the structure was unsound, but it was a neat perspective. Cosider revising and re-posting. The "parchment tourniquet" was very original. for a poem about books this was pretty good.
