Reviews For: Stage Fright Crippling Me Over Again
Professional Dreamer 2007-01-08 . chapter 1
Oh boy, do I sympathise with this one. So captured that unique mood.

well written, seething, raw and extremely powerful. i'm completely captivated by the line 'the word raining down like the bubonic plague upon virgin ears.' probably my favorite part of this poem. i also love the imagery of 'vultures raging inside my stomach' and the following lines, the formatting and the rawness that almost makes me feel it. 'taciturn nightmare' -- beautiful. 'into the glare of the spotlight upon fragile, pockmarked, poetry stricken me' -- another gorgeous line. i love it. 'into a poem escpaing from the vents of my hallucination' -- i absolutely love this. for some reason the ending seems a bit weak and anticlimatic, it just bothers me. other than that, though, this poem is great. a lot of lines are extremely powerful.

I loved your use of repetition in this. I don't know that I would call this funny; I find if rather creepy. But then, any reference to the Bubonic plague gets me, for some reason. Anyway, you definitely caught the chaotic spirit of stage fright. Great job.
