brilliant... had to read it a few times, but i think this is a piece were we all get an idividual message out of it... very good

I think this story is awesome! It shows how some people don't really care about things that mean so much to others. Good job!

I agree, it's sort of difficult to get into the meat of this story, but I enjoyed reading it immensely, then thought about it, and this is what I came up with:

People tend to be naïve and not look at the world around them. Tragic things happen all the time, large things that can affect the world, yet most just look ahead to their next day, or think the most important thing in life is - as I believe you put it - if their makeup's on perfectly.

... Those are just my thoughts, of course. =)

a) I think you need a 'they' between ''cause' and 'let.
