RuchiraMandal 2008-08-30 . chapter 1
I think the realization of a drifting apart friendship is a very painful one, especially at and around the age you mention. I speak from experience. And I understand so well what you mean by that strained silence, when every attempt at conversation seems tob e sucked away. Well written.

very nice. i am having trouble with my best friend right now: we just don't seem to think the same way all of a sudden, and this really helped me. thank you.
Ski Bird 2007-06-12 . chapter 1
yup i can totally relate.
holding is only hurts both people in the end. more so actually than if u just break it before.

ok well i was i guess lucky.. cause i moved. ;)
but now our friendship is growing better. i guess now we can say things freely, but we do avoid some subjects that we know that we will argue until the end of time. she now even tells me her crushes. ok well that's girl talk.

fantastic work.
Pearlita 2007-05-07 . chapter 1
Of your stories, this is my favourite one. Out of curiosity, is it intentionally written in narrative format? It's very well written; I like your writing in first person.
FreakierThanThou 2007-04-07 . chapter 1
That was nice. I liked how, while your protagonist didn't hold on to the friendship with Tim, s/he still can say hi.

Moving on and growing up is always a difficult topic to cover because there's a sense of loss that comes with all changes. I congradulate you for taking on such a hard project, and for pulling it off so well.

Keep writing,

This is rediculously good. It's perfect. I went through something like this very recently and its describes it perfectly. You have great talent! Keep Up the good work:)
John Westcott 2007-01-07 . chapter 1
Well done! A sad but true tale we've all gone through at one point or another. I know I can certainly relate, only in my case, my former best friend, who was a bit of a social climber, used all those secrets you tell a best friend as a way to buy himself into his new clique, using those secrets to embarrass me. Needless to say, we've never been friendly since. In fact, he invited my parents to his wedding but not me. I wouldn't have gone anyway. So it's something we can all relate to. I've since gone on to a happy life myself, so though it's devastating at the time, it's a necessary part of growing up we all must do.

Again, well done.

Oh, I've been there. Friends growing apart. It happens all the time, but yet never seems to get any better, I guess. Wonderful job! Love the feeling in this. Fantastic!

it takes skill to make the reader feel goosebumps and all cozy and good inside. You did it for me, amazing story.
The Reverse Edge Blade 2006-10-23 . chapter 1
This story was really touching, and it really made me feel warm inside. The story is written so well, and so full of depth and meaning. It's really unique. It surpasses everything I've seen at fictionpress so far. Really, this is truly a great work of art. The way you describe how you just fell apart really makes me thoughtful. You really caught my utmost attention from beginning to end.

If you wanna talk more, send me an email. (I'm not really done talking, but I feel like that to write something like I wanna say to you...well, it just doesn't work out with me. So if you are with me on talking more, Email me.
(Dunno if the email adressed is visible)
