Even the ending was depressing, because you just know that there's going to be huge problems with their relationship later on, problems that they wouldn't have been able to get past. You have a wonderful style and great ideas. What did you write this on? If it was in rich text, you don't have to put the i /i thing for italics, like when you said "assuming they i are /i parents and not like me...". That's all I have to say.
