abuseAh, it's a point of view kind of thing. Honestly, surreal art is my thing, but it has to be more than just a blue triangle with "paradox" written in red in the middle... which I've honestly seen before in a museum.

Art has become far too simple to create. There's so few true artists anymore.

abuseOh my goodness, I know this feeling, these days it does seem like modern art is made by 6 month old babies. You are extremely talented.

Keep it up!

abuseTo put it simply, if it is art, it's bad, ostentatious art.

If had actual talent, they wouldn't have to rely on so-called "originality" or similar words (which are always nothing more than gimmicks). They are just hacks.

abuseI went to the RISD museum in Providence last weekend. There was a modern art exhibit, including a gray slab of fiberglass leaned against a black wall. It was amusing. Then there were sculptures from ancient Greek temples. The difference is depressing, even allowing for the different amount of time that art took in the old days..

abuseI'm not exactly an expert in any way shape or form, but I imagine that the artist did intend for there to be some meaning. Unless, of course, the artist is a hack in it for the money. But I'd like to point out that there are shades in between a painting that looks so real it could be a photograph and a line on canvas, and that's the sort of thing I enjoy more, and find more meaning in. Van Gogh moves me more than Michelangelo. Of course, I admire the hell out of people that can paint realistically, but there just doesn't seem to be much there for me.

Cool idea, I liked reading it.
