dTaye 2006-12-16 . chapter 1 thoroughly entertaining to read and full of surprises, this fake blog by a young T&T writer shows a lot of promise for the future. she captures teenage issues with comic wit and the sweet and sour taste of Trini style sarcasm.
at age 13 [and three quarter] she is writing a far higher level than her peers, who mostly struggle with finishing their homework, rather than have either the time and energy, or the skill and ability to craft something as marvelously fun to read as this is.
if i must make a negative comment, and i don't feel particularly compelled to do so, but i will, just so i won't appear to be a paid cheerleader, I'd say the writer needs to widen her scope of life beyond the literal into the analytical. don't just report what happened, but explore the more compelling why, and how it did and the repercussions of those, and the spin off experiences of the characters. but thats not really blogging eh? even fake blogging.
i look forward to reading other pieces from this writer and will be first in line at her book signing, which I'm sure will come rather sooner than later. |
NewName 2006-11-15 . chapter 2It was interesting... though I'm a little confused. While you desribe what seem to be random events in a dairy, *miiake's lecture mode activated*, i dont really see whats happening. It has alot of potential, but the storyline seems loose. Unless you just meant for a day-to-day type of thingie... in which case you can ignore everything i just wrote and have a cookie. Whatever kind of cookie you like. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to reading more ^^ |
