You've never really elaborated much on all of their personalities. I mean, i don't know whether Sam likes sports, or likes reading or what she likes to eat. This goes the same for most- actually all- of the characters. I'm glad you show that she can't dance and ice-skate, but that's not enough. Most writers explain what their characters look like, and the inexperienced ones do it too much, but I'm surprised that you hardly did it at all. Except for Blake and his hair. On a more storyline side, I find it a bit confusing when you don't properly say who she likes. One minute she half-doesn't-like drake and then suddenly she's all over him. At the same time she likes Blake. Then she suddenly doesn't like drake and wants to be with blake. What's up with that? I mean, i understand what you're saying (kinda) but it's not so fun to read it like that. I noticed you did say something about how her, err, like for drake was wearing out already. well, that's good. But i think you should have elaborated a bit more to make it more believabe. Most of that comes from experience, though, but i just wanted to point that out to you. Sorry if i come across a bit too... mean? Keep up the good work :) |
