I like it when such a small piece can have a large impact. I thought that this thing would be a haiku, but it's not; it's rather a thought on a moment. Very primal b/c of the dog and the hard 'distant burning stars.' Could be a prelude to something or what a caveman sees and hears and FEELS one night on a plain in the distant past. Good work.
