i blanched when i read this. honestly, this is one of the most painful things i have ever read, and it's not just my aversion to blood that made me feel sick when i read it. (i think that's a good thing, though, 'cause poetry that really riles up your emotions is the best kind, in my personal opinion). i don't know what to say, but this seems like the least numb thing i have ever read. i cannot even comprehend that kind of all-consuming pain. and i have to say, it almost feels like a page of a diary and there is such a voyeurisitic quality to reading this.
