dTaye 2006-12-16 . chapter 1
hm...deep. a lot deeper than Teenage...
this piece introduces far more serious themes than that aforementioned work. if successful at developing this into a full story, this writer will far exceed even the furthest reaching guesses at her potential--which, coincidentally enough is the premise underpinning this whole story: the variance between who she wants to be and the person her peers and sister want her to be, and her mother wishes she was.
she also touches on the very core of female teenage angst: boys, peer pressure and the discovery sexual awareness. all in one paragraph--a study in word conservation!
very sophisticated for someone of her age, and far outside of the scope of contemporary notions T&T high school culture. were she to continue this with any measure of success, this piece would singlehandedly reassure us of her generation's literary future.
good work
