I don't understand how you can think this is bad. It is beautiful. You write so well, and why you don't see that...I will never understand. This is so wonderful. The third stanza alone is worth the entire read - thoughts arching back, toes curling around his name...that's just gorgeous. This is so beautiful, and you can write. Keep writing! :)

Well, first let me say that this is good, quite good. It has a rhythm to it and an undefinable quality which stuck with me. Granted, it's not your best work, but it is a wonderful poem. I am glad you posted it. Good work!

I like this. Especially, "homespun sun", it has a cautionary tale aspect to it, but it is vibrant and adventurous and full of the subtleties of personal escape and its lasting affect. It is freedom put to use. The ability to adapt and cherish your surroundings, or the characters surroundings, gives breath to the scene and the situation created. Well written. Good write.
