I normally try to avoid things that would embarass me, but guilty pleasure I suppose. The narration, tone, and style are top notch for sure. I like the characters given, though one of them died. Sakura definitely has a well rounded character; appearance, hobbies, talents, and personality are all good. But you lost me with the end, I assume when you said "their mouths opened wide with awe" you meant the cops. But the bit about the miracle was kind of strange...weren't they just dealing with a murder? And the seer was sort of crammed in there too. But that might have been just me.

Aside from the confusion at the end, this was a nice read. I can tell you're not an amateur writer. Rejoice!
