angel953 2007-08-13 . chapter 9I absolutelyloved this story!! I cried with Britney when the Doll was broken to bits and felt her sorrow. That is what a good story does, it brings a smile to your face or a tear to your eye. If the story is truly a good one, it will make you feel the emotions that the character is experiencing, and truly that is what your story has done for me. Thank you for your wonderful story!
I have added this to my favorites list so that I can never forget what an amzing author you are to have brought this story into my life. Thanks! |

 angel953 2007-08-13 . chapter 2hmm this is interesting...you are a really good writer
btw this story kinda reminds me of a movie i saw when i was little about a barbie doll that came to life and taught the like friendship or something like that..i think it was called larger than life might wanna check it out if you havent seen it |
angel953 2007-08-13 . chapter 1this is a good start...looks like it will be a great story! you seem to know how to put this into a story without over-powering the reader or over-diong it. cant wait to read more! |
The Intelligent Designer 2007-01-25 . chapter 9How could you?! You killed the Doll! Evil author, evil author. You should be ashamed. Anyway...cool. I like the message you deliver with that last line, and I really enjoyed reading this. Strange coincidince though, don't you think, meeting up with that girl all thos years later...not exactly an heiress, but a doctor is pretty close. I mean, they make enough money... |
Banshee Junior 2007-01-06 . chapter 9Goodness, this is such a wonderful story...I can't believe it's got only 8 reviews! I'd thought the doll would live but I guess her death was sort of fitting in the story. I also like that you don't come all out with Dr Sullivan's backstory but leave just a few details with us. I also like that you filled the doll's experience with girls of different kinds...that she did with Britney what she failed to do with Hortensia. If anything, I would've liked to know how Britney's relationship with Elizabeth grew. Other than that, this is a fabulous piece, and thank you for giving me a few hours to think without being preachy! :D |
Banshee Junior 2007-01-06 . chapter 5It would be all too easy to see Agatha as the mother, rather than Mrs. Cromwell (funny, we hardly even know what her name is...a very nice touch!). I hope Brit will let Agatha vent her natural maternal protectiveness from now on! :) I think Britney is, for all her spoilt-brat persona, really more astute and intelligent than she gives herself credit for. It's fascinating to find a child so young coming out with questions about life. |
Banshee Junior 2007-01-06 . chapter 4I love the 3-way interaction between the doll, Britney and poor child...it's very striking, the way the doll sparks Brit's imagination. Her change of thought about her own teddy bear after giving it to the poor child is heartwarming. It's rather telling that she begins to touch the doll just as tightly. |
Banshee Junior 2007-01-06 . chapter 3Wow! It's marvellous that you have the transition of Britney's character happening at a steady gradual pace, but not dragging either. It's very refreshing. I'd love to know why the doll is the way she is...sad, with a tiny voice. |
Banshee Junior 2007-01-06 . chapter 2It's scary how matter-of-fact Britney seems to be about the way her mother acts...and it's nice to see the kindness behind her "monster"-like behaviour: especially when she talks of Mrs. Cromwell as "constantly nagging" the hired help. I'm just WAITING to see how the new doll acts! |
