Not Human 2007-08-25 . chapter 23
"The Puppet Master" has truly been a pleasure to read, and I hope you continue to write like this. With every chapter, the characters and setting got stronger, and the final showdown was innovative and gruesome. I especially like your attention to detail, like Astophel's personality, and the sound of white noise preceding Dannaiz's arrival. I looked forward to each installment. So, now that it's over, what are you going to write for us next?
Thanks for sharing your work, and best of luck in getting this published!

Sincerely,

nH

Now that's what I call a story! I love how you ease the reader into you're story. I have to admit I thought I would be bored to death, but I' m impressed!
Not Human 2007-07-26 . chapter 19
Your work has really matured in the time I've been reading it. I love this new development, and the horror starting to show up more in the plot. I can't wait to read the rest!
Not Human 2007-07-17 . chapter 17
Wow, a powerful chapter. Kleitos may become as dark and isolated as his father, but I hope not. Iah continues to become a heroine, and Kleitos continues to deepen his intellect. Good work!
Not Human 2007-07-03 . chapter 16
Sorry to hear about your rejection, and congrats on actually getting a letter telling you about it. A lot of places aren't that polite. Anyway, I'd buy this book! This development is interesting - I can't wait to see where it goes. Just keep writing, and keep trying to get published. It'll happen!
Not Human 2007-06-21 . chapter 13
Something regarding a future chapter just occurred to me (and I wanted to add you to my favourites list), so I'm stating this not-quite-a-question here. In the interest of not spoiling anyone who reads the reviews before the chapters (if there is anyone who does that...), I'll be extremely vague. My thought: Maybe Kleitos doesn't...utilize...the resource he had so looked forward to after the...skirmish...because he can't bring himself to do so, knowing how much it would...affect...someone. Grudgingly, of course. Get it? Awesome. Just thinking in text.
Not Human 2007-06-20 . chapter 15
Wow, I hope this gets better for Iah. I really love this story. I honestly don't quite know what to make of Kleitos, aside from him being a person born with power and unused to making concessions to other people. I love Iah, and I do hope she can't be broken. And I hope for frequent updates. I adore your detail and imagery, kudos!
Not Human 2007-05-31 . chapter 14
I really love where this story is headed, as far as I can see it...it's not really predictable, which is good. Sorry about this being a 3-in-1 review, I think I got all the alerts yesterday. Although I do love to see Kleitos' softer side, I think for him to really learn to grow up he'll have to see the fruits of his harshness on Iah. As always, I love your attention to detail and your imaginative characters and settings. Awesome to see the dreaming plant introduced here as well.
Not Human 2007-05-01 . chapter 11
Awesome, a long chapter! I like your explanation of silver and lycanthropes, and the reappearance of Astrophel in more detail. This is going in a good direction, so keep writing. Your characters are gaining a unique voice, and your imagery is always bang-on and beautiful. Thanks for the double post!
Not Human 2007-05-01 . chapter 10
You are so imaginative, with your various sprites and servants. I especially like Astrophel. Great work, and great imagery, as always.
Ishis 2007-04-30 . chapter 11
The relationship between Kleitos and Iah keeps getting more interesting, and I like your idea of the star people, very inventive!
Not Human 2007-04-20 . chapter 9
Another good, if short, chapter! Oh well - Kleitos is sweeter in this one, and Iah's arguments more focused, so all in all, good development.
Not Human 2007-04-03 . chapter 8
You have great names for your characters. I only wish your chapters were longer! Lord Kleitos' quick rage is dangerous, but maybe Iah's independence will help him mature? I think there is good in him. Keep up the lovely imagery too!
Not Human 2007-03-20 . chapter 7
That's a horrific punishment, and I wouldn't say she's been well taken care of (though more than a few captives have been convinced of that, so it still fits). I no longer have much sympathy for Lord Kleitos. That may change, of course. Nicely written, her pain is palpable.
Not Human 2007-03-07 . chapter 6
I'm a little worried about the fact that the King thinks he owns her, but he's a bit like a child, so I guess that's to be expected. I would like to see more of Iah's past, to build her character. All in all, I like where this is headed. Reminds me a bit of some of the old, beautiful manga. Nothing in particular, I just think this would be awesome to illustrate.
