Damn you, even on the second read the ending almost made me cry. Practically no story can do that to me. You really are good. I love this series.

Oh... this was as great as the others, the mystery, the plot, the characters and the underlying desesperation... the end was near. This chapter was so terribly sad. I cried a little bit. I loved this couple, I love Paris and Roan. And now Paris is dead... I really felt for those two. I wonder what's going to happen to him now... Paris will be a character I'll remember.

First of all: for a story to make me cry isn't unusual. But for a story to make me cry so bad that I wake up my roommate at four in the morning, on the verge of hyperventilating, just to be comforted, is a rare feat. I was tipped off that the ending was going to be sad, and it was easy to get who would die, but that didn't make it less painful. Paris was a marvelous character.

I think what I appreciated the most in this story was that Roan and Paris were as real as real people. They had their awkward moments, their weak ones, tender ones, all without ever giving me the feeling that "oh, they are just fantasy characters". There are too many stories out there who can't portray men as men are in real life.

The plot was splendid. I couldn't help but be reminded of the Dresden Files (which I love, so that's a compliment). Though, I would have loved to see Roan confront Kevin about the boy hustler.

When I have time I'll be reading the rest of this series, starting with the first one this time.

F*ing hell, man! I was freaking balling in the end! I go and say how much i love the two of them, and then you do this to me! Argh! Oh, man. That was so freaking sad. Oh my gawd. As well-written and wonderful as the story was, da* that was sad!

How come these stories have so few reviews?

I have to say this is one of the best things I have read for quite some time. It is (aside from a bit to many typos) well writen, the charecters feel very real and believable, the mysteries are intreaging, and the were-cat/virus thing is handled very well.
Althogh I was very sad about Paris' death I think it was a good developement for the story, it makes the virus very real and really takes away all the glory of it you might start to see with Roan developing all his powers.

Great job, will certainly continou reading.

So sad... I love this series. I'm so glad I found it.

For the record, I hated killing Paris. I did, and it killed me to write that, as I loved the character; I love those characters who really embrace their id (to be high-falutin' for a moment). But Paris has been very slowly dying since Infected, and I knew his time was up, as much as it killed Roan and me both. I still miss Paris (so does Roan), and occasionally I consider writing a "missing" Roan and Paris tale, so I can bring him back again. I still might do that. He was a hell of a guy.

OMG. I cannot begin to say how much I adored this. And the first two as well, even though I didn't review them. I actually just jumped right to the next one.
I must admit that I was dreading this chapter, and hoping you would find a way to keep Paris. And that in and of itself is a sign of how good this was. The characters actually seemed to come alive, and I felt as if I was actually there, watching the events unfold. The writing was amazing, and the idea itself was just fantastic. This is certainly a new twist to the were-creature story.
I am still in awe. I actually came across the first story by accident, and wasn't going to read it at first. But I am glad that I did. After all, who needs sleep. I can go one night without.
Now that I've said everything I wanted to say, I am going to go back to the last chapter of the second story and end there and live in denial. At least I will until the urge to read the rest overcomes the desire to keep Paris alive.

I knew this was coming, of course, but I still found myself in need of a hanky.

Wow. I've been on the edge of my seat for most of this story, wondering if you would really kill off Paris. I'm sad because I got really attached to him. Him and Roan just seemed to fit so well together. I'm dying to know how you'll continue from now on.

Lucky me, you really got a thing for series, even if some of the developments are quite depressing. Poor Paris. Sniff. Entropy sucks alright, to quote you.
Yet I'm one very happy fangirl.
