Wow, this really is a poem about everything. There's so much here, that it takes a few reads to really grasp everything that's in it. I love the comparison of hands being like warm strands of yarn. That's beautiful. I really like this piece as a whole. It's fascinating, and I find it ever so appropriate that I'm listening to Soul Coughing while reading this, because this is the same kind of genius that Mike Doughty uses in his songwriting. If you're not familiar with the band, you should definitely check them out. I think you would appreciate them. At any rate, this is a wonderfully full poem of strange images that pop all over the page. Keep writing! :)
