the upward glance 10/16/10 . chapter 1Well that made me cry... That's a compliment. :) I love it when a story moves me, gets to me, hurts me. Your character's life very much mirrors my own. I enjoyed your style here, and the digressions into mundane topics he takes as the blade is poised over his wrist. There's such juxtaposition there! Because death is of such a profound magnitude, or not. Depending on one's philosophical outlook hehe I dunno...the collective pieces you integrated into the story are just great. I could probably list all the things I loved, but I shan't :) Oh and the title...perfect. OH! And I love how he didn't even realize he had slit his wrist...that was very powerful. I find solace in writing, too. I hate the whole "I'm so sorry" "I understand" sympathy bit. I always found it useless, because you can never understand what another thinks or feels... But... I'm here. And I care. I'm glad though that you've moved beyond this. Very glad. :) Great story. XOXO |
Kumori Neko 4/20/09 . chapter 1I feel your pain, although of course pertaining to a different, but similar, situation in life. The first time I drew blood... I didn't expect it to feel the way it did... Anyways, I'm sorry this happened to you, but like me (or so I have been told) you're good at explaining it all out so others can understand how you feel. *DA900* |
EnderWinner 2/27/07 . chapter 1Wow... for how dark the piece is, it's somehow reassuring in a very odd way. *shakes head* sorry I've been missing reviewing Kane's field. I've been... busy as hell. Wow, good piece here. Nice to know sometimes you aren't alone. _ |
