Lily K. Black 2007-12-15 . chapter 22This is a very unique story...I like it. Especially the combination of the French revolution and (some) Beatles songs.
Great job, keep up the good work! :) |
Vi 2007-11-01 . chapter 22 This is utterly adorable. :DD |
V de V 2007-08-15 . chapter 22What? You are done? Wow! You put my story to shame. I still have ... um some nineteen chapters left. (cowers in a corner defeated) Well then ... I hope a bravo is not out of place here. And yes, email me the last chapter. I just had a birthday, so of course I am old enough. Ha-ha.
Yeah ... really late night there, but I can beat that. Same hotel, I spent the entire night some three meters outside my room because I thought my amazingly drunk roommate would kill me with a plate or something from room service after I inadvertently compelled one of the male counselors to yell at her, at which point she implied to the director that I slept with said maile counselor when I only went out to lunch with him. Needless to say, she was **. Yeah, so military school was fun.
Hm. Seems like a lot of introspection for a guy. And thanks for calling us illogical. That justifies all the moronic stuff I do from now on.
Nice story. I can not say it helped my history any, but it was very funny all the same. Ciao then. |
V de V 2007-08-15 . chapter 21Ha-ha! Too funny. Oh yeah, I am back from military school. Did you miss me? Probably not. But whatever. See my advice is to do, ahem, that little physical acquaintance routine in a nice dry hotel room where the only danger is having the guy wrestle the girl onto the bed ... See what happens in military school? Cute chapter all the same. Ha-ha! |
Nikolaevna 2007-07-05 . chapter 22There is an ongoing joke between in our family regarding Collot d’Herbois, and I admit I was very distracted upon reading his name. But that little nonsense aside, I enjoyed this greatly. I was expecting a little more showcase of skin, but the ending was far better than I expected. It was sweet and rather simple; I like it. Bravo Darth! Hope to read more from you. |
Aurelia 2007-07-04 . chapter 22 The sweetest ending! I love it! And hey, the bonus chapter would be nice XD |
screamstar87 2007-07-03 . chapter 1Absolutely love this story. Well written, and I'm particularly enjoying how you're leaving it as a period piece whilst modernising it in ways, e.g. the updated humour, the modern lyrics, as if to prove a point that to the characters the music was their pop/rock, and that to the establishment their behaviour was just as bawdy and indiscreet as your recounting would be to us today.
Have to say, it's definitely tinged with an undertone of dread, knowing what will happen to these people, that they will face the tumbril or exile. Makes it all the more moving, and without being filled with angst it leaves me at least with a very heavy feeling.
There are a couple of typos and grammatical errors that I am sure you are aware of, but absolutely nothing that detracts in any significant way from the enjoyment of the story. Please do update soon, it really is nice to read something on here that is intelligent and that takes place in a period often neglected by the site's authors. |
Nikolaevna 2007-07-01 . chapter 21Behold the power of cleavage and a wet dress! *grin* Also, it's nice to read the subject of educated women in eighteenth century being touched. |
Aurelia 2007-07-01 . chapter 21 Squee! This was awfully funny. And I bet those two are going to have one real good evening. Yay for Marat and Charlotte! |
V de V 2007-06-23 . chapter 20Ah, fight. I do not know to call it chivalrous or just stupid, perhaps a bit of both.
Momentum? Ugh. I am done with physics now. Calc, too.
Merat is not dead yet? Again, in what year are we?
I liked the levity in the conversation toward the last part of the chapter.
Nice work. Just to let you know, in case you care at all, which you probably do not, I shall be leaving for boot camp, quite literaally, tonight and so may not have access to a computer to review and stuff. However, I shall try to see what I can do. Ciao.
P.S. Thanks for your benediction. I think I did well on my exams after all. |
Nikolaevna 2007-06-23 . chapter 20Rather difficult, reading this chapter while listening to the Les Misérables song with the same title. Anyway, I think I'll start building a shrine for Éléonore. And damn it! Why does everyone have to write Jacques off (yes, pun intended) as far more tasteless and lowly than he already is? *pouts*
And I must reiterate that yes, I was fairly disappointed in the lack of nudity in the previous chapter(therefore, the lack of an actual length to measure). Also, I happen to have a complete and signed compilation of all the Beatles' albums. Now what does that make me? ;) |
Aurelia 2007-06-23 . chapter 20 WOHO! Go Eleonore! I love her in this chapter, really. And the last conversation about Marat and Charlotte...priceless. Is this where the smut comes in? >D |
Aurelia 2007-06-17 . chapter 19 *snerk* for singing Saint-Just. And yes, he does need to get his shirt off. |
V de V 2007-06-16 . chapter 19Short chapter? You and I have nothing in common in musical choice. Oh well. I have ... Ah, who cares to what I am listening as I read this. Suffice it to say it is grossly at odds with what is written here even though the song is in French. Hahaha. I guess I liked the humor--do not know. It is very late here, and I have exams looming, so ... Nice work all the same. |
Nikolaevna 2007-06-16 . chapter 19Darth! [insert annoying girlish wine]
Such a short chapter! I do hope you make up for the length in your next update, or I shall be forced to take out my frustrations on you through a leather whip. Though... that line from Nothing Else Matters did make me smile a bit. A bit! *sheepish grin* |
