emptyword 2/21/07 . chapter 1Supremely cute and entertaining. :) Great job with the characters; they're certainly all very distinct from one another, although I thought Ian's pragmatism could be heightened. Though it depends on how it's performed of course. I loved Susan's new-age cynicism and Charles's hippie artist romanticism - they're both dripping in it. The only little bit I had trouble wrapping my brain around was Ian's eagerness to leave but lack of action. His asking "Can I go now?" seems too plaintive and dependent for someone who seems like he'd just as well say "Everything seems fine now. I'd better go." Sorry I have no other criticisms but that. I wish to see this on stage someday. |
dreaming-freak 1/22/07 . chapter 1Hey! I enjoyed this very much, the idea is original and I think that writing about...you know, a guy thats looking for something no one ever wrote before IS something that kind of relates to a lot of people...well, to me anyways. I guess its one of the many synonyms to "originality", right? Also, a few lines were quite humourous. I particularly liked when Charles was like, "no I do not lock myself in the bathroom looking for the Muse. I do so to give us more time alone together." LOL, brilliant! d_f |
