I think that this is one of my favorite things that you've written thus far. This, for one is probably because of my strange addiction to angst...hmm...poor Cain. Faustus really is a jerk in the beginning huh? Still, I love the conflict you create with just those two characters, as well as the beastie lurking ever close in the poor kid's little mind. It's really well done. Like I said, probably one of my more favored of your stories thus far. Perhaps it's because you said something about the different personas inside Cain reflecting some of your inner self. It's always more believable and interesting when you can write from a view point of the characters. Again. Very good. But yet again, you're becoming notorious for cliff hangers. Update soon! XD
