Wow, talk about a major shift! Thinking about the Garden of Eden, I was half expecting the "he" to be the Devil because that's how the Garden ended. The decaying of the garden could also symbolize that, so I wasn't so surprised. It was beautifully written though! That's why I enjoyed it so much. A nice morale of how we may be (easily) tempted into the ways of evil by being presented with false beauty. Keep it up. :)

I didn't quite feel as much pity for the character, which may not have been your ultimate intention. I almost want to know more about their first meet. Nevertheless, the style itself was pretty enough.

I loved it! I'm always willing to read anything that's even vaguely related to Venice. It was very atmospheric, and almost had a fairy-tale quality to it. The twist was unexpected, too. It's nice reading something that's not predictable for once...I'll have to take a look at some of your other work.
