This was a great summary and analysis of the Meiji Restoration, but you didn't mention the role of the zaibatsu and their effect on the common people eg. unemployment etc.

Meh. Not my kind of thing to review seeing as it is not a topic I particularily enjoy reading about. I still read it though because, well, I'm bored and don't feel like working on things I should be working on. Typical Bri, eh?
