Reviews For: The Checklist
frogs of war 2009-05-08 . chapter 1
I hope the narrator doesn't always rely on her checklists, because it sounds like she's trying to convince herself it's not love. Imagine being the Object of Affection that cools just when it should be heating up. The clueless kid would wonder what he did wrong.

This is cute! I got the feeling of lightheartedness in the surface, but deeper it seems like the girl is actually confused about love and infatuation and wishes it was clear which one it was.
Good job!

Funny...but it sort of...darn, what's the word? I'm going to say lacking, or disappointing, because it's like it really IS love, but the narrator is so focused on his checklist that he's willing to give up just because it doesn't give him the answer. Like being in true love and then asking an 8-ball or picking the leaves off of a flower and saying 'he loves me, he loves me not,' and then throwing love away because of the result of something so...insignificant. Heartwrenching. I love the sad undertones that you inject into most of your stories. On the surface, they're sweet, cute, funny...but there's a depth to them that makes them so memorable.

Wow this was creative! I've never read anything like it. I thought it was very funny!
