between the lyrics 1/24/07 . chapter 1Reading through all of your jorios... just completely left me in awe. I'm so amazed by this simple poetry that I just felt the sudden inspiration to follow this path of jorios. Your poems speak to me simply and clearly and it's... completely amazing. I hope you don't mind if I start writing jorios as well. I've started a jorios collection here on fictionpress and I have given complete credit for the inspiration and a part of your profile entirely to you. If you prefer that I not do that, then please tell me and I'll be willing to take it off. |
no.peace.los.angeles 1/23/07 . chapter 1I think it's probably just the phrase "a closer walk with thee" that makes me think this, but this seems to have a spiritual feel to it. And that completely makes sense, because it's this feeling of no matter how many gifts someone bears, all you wish is to spend time with the one you worship, and that can be taken religiously or romantically. A very nice poem that can be taken in a multitude of ways. (And by the way, before I forget, I wrote two jorios of my own! They are "Farmer Brown" and "beachfront serenade." Thought I'd mention it so you could read them and give me your feedback if you wanted.) Keep writing! :) |
felicia13 1/22/07 . chapter 1Charmingly romantic and hopelessly doomed. I rather love it. Delightfully Shakespearean in my mind. "but all I wish is a closer walk with thee" That's the charmingly romantic part. It's also hopelessly doomed because of the "many suitors, arms laden with gold" and I have quoted your whole poem in this review. Intriguing. Felicia. |
