No, it didn't suck. It was too sad, though. There is more to do than weep when something is broken. When it's broken, it just means that you can use the pieces to make something better. To answer your question, no. I'm not going to be like the broken pot on the floor. If I break, I'm going to take the pieces, and make something better. You should, too.
