It would be better if you didn't refer to the fact that he doesn't make you feel the same as the other guy you're talking about.
Maybe that's just me? Mostly the lines "but till you're asleep in my arms/ he will just have to do" makes it sound like you'll just take what you're offered and don't care much for it.
