Oh, cool. I love how mountains crop up in the background of this poem and how the beaches are rocky and little bits of glass kind of stick up between the grains and grasses. Yeah. I get really strong images from this poem. Excellent work!

Ooh..."nascent sand", that's a different one! By far, though my favorite lines are "I carved this island/from rocky, supine memories", just because supine is a gorgeous word, and there's so much imagery and potential in those eight words- that's the beauty of joria, though, isn't it? That with sixteen words, you capture more than most pieces ever could, but you leave so much to personal interpretation...it makes for a wonderful paradox. bella
